Club Season Rules Clinics & Significant Rules Changes
We encourage all new teams to attend a free clinic. The NCVA will be offering four free rules clinics
Any team or group of teams may also request a private rules clinic for a fee of $200. All rules clinics are conducted by a clinician who is certified and assigned by the NCVA office. All NCVA-assigned clinicians must attend a special clinician’s clinic to be able to conduct a rules clinic.
To register for a free clinic or to schedule a private clinic, complete the appropriate form:
All coaches are responsible for knowing and understanding the current rules. Each coach is also responsible for being able to officiate competently and keep score during a match. If a tournament director observes at a League Tournament and notifies the NCVA office that a team needs to attend a rules clinic, that team will be required to schedule a private rules clinic.
Teams participating in a National Qualifier (including the No Dinx Far Western National Qualifier) or in the Junior Olympic Championships must meet all requirements set by USA Volleyball. These requirements
include:
All coaches must be IMPACT-certified.
Coaches and players must attend a rules clinic.
Coaches and/or players who work as a second referee, line judge, and/or scorekeeper must be certified on the court during a sanctioned match.
RSVP is required for all clinics to ensure that appropriate materials are available for all attendees.
