2007 High Performance Teams & Information
Travel Days: July 31, 2008 - teams depart USA / August 11, 2008 - Teams return to the USA Tournament Dates: Between August 5 - August 9, 2008 Tournament Site: Maribor, Slovenia Cost: We make every attempt to minimize player costs, which are currently anticipated to be around $3000 per player. Costs include all hotels, ground transportation, three meals per day, and all volleyball-related expenses. Airfare is extra. This will be the NCVA’s fourth year participating in the Global Challenge Tour. The current plan for the travel itinerary is three days in , two days in Austria at an Olympic Training Facility and then the tournament in with one day of site-seeing in Venice before returning home to the States. This schedule is tentative.
2008 Girl's European Global Challenge Team Info Tournament Dates: Between July 21 & July 24, 2008 Travel Days: July 15, 2008 - teams depart USA / July 27, 2008 - Teams return to the USA Tournament Site: Pula, Croatia Travel Agenda: 3 days in Munich, 2 days in Austria and 5 days in Croatia (tentative) Cost: We make every attempt to minimize player costs, which are currently anticipated to be around $3000 per player. Costs include all hotels, ground transportation, three meals per day, and all volleyball-related expenses. Airfare is extra. Parents cost is $1,800 plus an additional $400 for a single room. In July 2008, some of our participating athletes will represent the NCVA in an inter-regional USA Volleyball High Performance Championship tournament. The NCVA will be sending 2 teams to this event, one International Youth and National Select. This event is run by USA Volleyball. 2008 Boys Select Team Info 2008 Boys Youth Team Info Tournament Dates: July 23-27, 2008 Travel Days: Depart: July 21, 2008 - Return: July 27, 2008 Opening Ceremonies: July 22, 2008 Tournament Site: Tucson Arena & Convention Center in downtown Tucson, Arizona Cost: We make every attempt to minimize player costs, which are currently anticipated to be travel and hotel expenses to this tournament. We hope to keep the cost at around $800 per player plus airfare and food. Parents are invited to attend this event. The NCVA will make your hotel and air reservations for you and invoice you for the cost. As a parent, you must notify the NCVA before the deadline if you would like your travel arrangements to be made by the NCVA.
