IMPACT & CAP

USA Volleyball has ruled that all Junior National Qualifier participating coaches listed on the roster must become IMPACT-Certified. IMPACT stands for Increased Mastery and Professional Application of Coaching Theory. Once certified, a renewal is not necessary.

The primary IMPACT goal is to help all coaches understand and become well-skilled in the awesome responsibility and incredible opportunity they have to influence young people positively through the sport of volleyball. This course is an offshoot of the Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP), which is under the auspices of the USA Volleyball branch of Educational Programs and Services.

The NCVA would like to assist all coaches in becoming responsible coaches and to develop a clearer understanding of their responsibility and opportunity. The NCVA recommends that all coaches attend at least the IMPACT course, whether or not they plan to participate in the Junior Olympic Championships. Club directors and parents are also welcome and encouraged to attend. As of 2008 USA Volleyball will NOT conduct an IMPACT Clinic in conjunction with the Junior National Championships.

USA VOLLEYBALL'S COACHING ACCREDITATION PROGRAM

As a coach, you can expand your knowledge and experience with USA Volleyball's Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP).  Who you are and what you teach shapes the future of those promising players that look up to you for guidance.  You are the greatest resource.  What is your resource?  Let CAP be your resource for cutting-edge information in the areas of skill development, tactical systems, conditioning, motor learning, mental training and much more.  Behind every great player is a great coach...behind every great coach is CAP.

Please note that you must have completed an IMPACT course prior to taking a CAP course.
